our story

I joined to make an impact…then wondered if it was possible.

My agency career started in 2008, fundraising to fight hunger through food banks.

A few years later I pivoted to HR, including talent acquisition, organizational development and more. I’ve met the most dedicated, impact-driven people. Worked with phenomenal agencies, building strong organizational cultures, developing staff and recruiting talent.

But nearly 20 years in, I had a bit of a mid-career crisis:

The food pantry up the street cut back service due to funding.

And a few employees who’d gone through agency layoffs…only to qualify for food stamps.

And I started to wonder whether any of my work made the impact I’d hoped for all along.

I was ready to finally get out of the industry.

Except… so much more seemed possible. And I met people who believed the same.

So I launched work.ingenuity to help fundraising agencies build phenomenal cultures and find the talent they need to succeed.

We partner on talent acquisition and talent retention with organizations who believe that people are the key to making an impact on the problems we’re trying to solve. And we’re dedicated to using business as a force for good.
